Introducing TMR first timers Berne with their glistening indie-pop single ‘To The Lions’. It’s such a peaceful, meditative track that we almost forgot the chaos of Friday release madness and that’s thanks to the gentle breathe-in-breathe-out quality; like doing savasana at the end of a yoga class. As well as being a gorgeously dreamy and reverb-soaked pop tune, ‘To The Lions’ is also a vessel for Berne’s environmental message. As the Maltese-born, London-based duo of Deborah Borg Brincat and Gianluca Pulvirenti share: "It was a light-bulb moment for us when we realised we can combine both our life passions: music and care for the environment, and this song is a testimony to that. 'To The Lions' urges people to reflect on the repercussions of their food choices, inspired by Jonathan Safran Foer's book Eating Animals." This track follows in the same vein as wistfully abstract debut single ‘Oceans’, released last September.
